NEW BOOK COVERS, COMPETITION FOR AMERICAN FANS

Speaking from his blog, Derek Landy has announced that the first three Skulduggery books have been re-released in eBook format for American fans, with new covers, and the first can be downloaded for free from iTunes and Barnes & Noble during October only. Read more.

There is also a competition with the winner winning a short story written for them, featuring Tanith Low, which will be released on Halloween for all later.

DEATH BRINGER RELEASED TODAY

The 6th Skulduggery Pleasant, Death Bringer, was released today!
It previously had a limited festival release at the Edinburgh Book Festival.

DEATH BRINGER TO BE RELEASED EARLY AT EDINBURGH FESTIVAL

Derek Landy has confirmed on his blog that the sixth installment to the Skulduggery Pleasant series will be released on the 15th of August at the Edinburgh Book Festival.

The book will only be available for four hours, whilst other readers will have to wait until the first of September to read. Read more here.

According to HarperCollins, the upcoming Skulduggery Pleasant book will be titled Skulduggery Pleasant: Death Bringer. A rough book cover and synopsis have appeared online.

DEREK LANDY DISCUSSES VALKYRIE'S AGE

Derek Landy has discussed Valkyrie Cain's age in a new blog post.

"Somewhere around the third book, I stopped concentrating on what time of year each book was set at, and what age Valkyrie was in each one. Basically, I made it so that, by the time Mortal Coil came around, there was no WAY she could have been sixteen. It just didn’t make sense."

He has also confirmed that Valkyrie's birthday is in August.

REDESIGNED SKULDUGGERY BACK COVERS RELEASED

The back covers for the newly redesigned Skulduggery paperbacks have been released.

Each cover features Valkyrie Cain, and will be released in April.

Derek Landy has stated that each redesigned book will feature a brand new short story to accompany it.

DEREK LANDY HINTS AT NEW CHARACTERS

Derek Landy has took to his blog to announce the arrival of the new book six characters "The Jitter Girls".

"I’m not going to tell you much about them, other than that they are currently giving Skulduggery and Valkyrie quite a hard time. I haven’t a clue how they’re going to be defeated, either. The way I’m writing right now, it looks like the Jitter Girls are going to kill our heroes and skip off into the darkness. Which, you know, would be bad for the rest of the book."
